7. July 20. Depth - wishing well

Out in the country, on the outskirts of town, a wishing well sits. It looks just like an ordinary well, an old stone creation with a bucket driven by a rotating handle. Make a wish, drop a coin into the bucket, release the handle, watch in amazement how it turns at its own will, and your wish will come true.

I was always drawn to visit the old wishing well, with its mysterious depth tempting you to ride the bucket all the way through the darkness, to discover the fascinating magic of how the wishes are granted…
